A trust-focused marketplace for salvage vehicles with verified sellers and graded listings.
The Challenge
This project required building trust in a high-risk marketplace where buyers worry about scams and low-quality listings. We also needed to protect user data while handling listing photos, documents, and account information at scale.
The Solution
We introduced credibility systems (verified sellers + listing grading) to make quality obvious instantly. For security, we designed encrypted S3-based storage and protected endpoints so sensitive user information and uploads stayed hidden and safe.
Execution
We engineered the core marketplace structure with a focus on onboarding dealerships first so the platform launches with inventory. We implemented secure storage patterns around AWS S3 (encryption + controlled access) and structured the listing data model so grading updates automatically based on completeness. We also planned feature rollout in phases to keep development fast while still building something enterprise-level.
